FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS PAINTBALL? Depends who you ask, but for our purposes, it's a high-intensity game of capture the flag in the woods. It also contains elements of hide and seek and tag, but each player has a paintball gun that splatters paint upon impact.

IS IT SAFE? Yes. Paintballsportsny requires that all players wear industry-approved goggles and mask systems, part of your rental equipment if you don’t bring your own. Barrel plugs or barrel bags are required anywhere and anytime there isn’t game play.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT? Yes, only those 10 years old and over may play. For all players under the age of 18 years old, a waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian. Everyone needs to fill out a waiver.

DOES IT HURT? Getting hit can sting. Wearing thick clothes can help.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? dark-colored, weather-appropriate long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy boots or sneakers you don’t mind getting dirty. Our paint washes out.

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER? We are outdoors. We play rain or shine EXCEPT in thunder and lightening storms, if the temperature is 30 degrees or lower, or if the fields are too snowy or icy. Dress appropriately.

HOW DOES A DAY PAINTBALLSPORTSNY GO? After a quick registration, you'll get your equipment, gun instruction, target practice, and an orientation to game and safety rules.

If you come mid-morning, you'll get in a few games on different fields with your referee, break for lunch (optional), and then play more afternoon games until your paint runs out! You can always get more if you want to keep playing.

DO YOU HAVE 'SESSIONS'? No, we are open 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM November through March, come and leave when you want. When you make your reservation you can set the approximate time you'd like to arrive.

CAN I BUY EXTRA PAINT? Yes. Different players use different amounts of paint. We offer many packages and you can buy as you need if you run out.

CAN I BRING MY OWN PAINT? Yes! We are one of the few fields that allows players to bring their own paint. Play for the day with your own paint is $45.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PRIVATE PARTY AND A PUBLIC (“WALK-ON”) GAME/PARTY? Private parties of 10 or more play 7 days a week and require a deposit and booking at least 48 hours in advance. Private parties play only amongst their own group, have a dedicated ref, and play on several different fields throughout the day.

Weekends only, we open for both private parties and walk-ons. Walk-ons/groups of 10 players or less/individuals play in public games with other walk-on players (private parties of 8 or 9 players incur a partial fee of $25 or $50 respectively to meet our 10-player minimum).

While reservations aren’t required for walk-on players, our policy is first-come-first-served, and we do suggest either reserving equipment with a deposit or calling in advance to confirm availability of equipment, etc.

REFUND POLICY: A full refund or rescheduling is possible until 5:00PM the day before the game.

WE OFFER BRAND NEW MASK AND GOGGLE SYSTEMS FOR $15 TO ANY PLAYERS WHO DO NOT WISH TO WEAR OUR DISINFECTED MASK AND GOGGLE SYSTEMS.

HAND SANITIZING SOLUTIONS ARE READILY AVAILABLE.

OUR EQUIPMENT IS DISINFECTED WITH HOSPITAL-GRADE, CDC APPROVED SANITIZING WIPES AND BLEACH,
